  • Darryn's Cessna copy. This plane is one of the earliest ARF kits available. It is actually a Yoshimito (Sp?) and consists of a fibre glass fuselage and foam core wing.

  • Unfortunately, the Corsair suffered major damage to the wing on landing. It has since been rebuilt and is flying again.

  • A F-15 scale masterpiece. This jet is an expensive piece of equipment. It is powered by a turbine and has onboard GPS satellite navigation which provides the pilot with a full flight plan, aircraft speed,distance traveled and the 'G' forces exerted on the jet. I think I heard about 20 'G's of force can be reached during a turn.

  • Dave Cornish tuning his Hornet. This plane was made from a 70's era magazine plans.
  • Robert ploughed his little Hot machine in, with only minor damage suffered due to rubber bands being used to hold the wings on.
  • Only damage was the displacement of the servo's inside the Hot machine.

  • The remains of Ron's Jaguar after he lost orientation during a flight.

  • Kevin's Kadet Senior. This model is powered by an Enya 45, 2 stroke motor.

L.

  • The Lancaster sitting on its model stand. It was built from an A4 sized 3 view plan, quite an achievement.

  • The cockpit of the Lancaster, complete with full scale cockpit. All the windows and bubbles were hand made by Alf. Alf is one of the best scale modelers in australia.
  • The Bombadier, complete with gun controls in his hands and realistic clothing.
  • The Tail gunner, looking ready for action.
  • A view of the Lancasters scale retracts. Alf made all the retracting mechanisms as well as the rims for the aircraft. Complete mechanism folds and tucks in exact scale fashion, complete with undercarriage doors.
  • Starting the Lancaster for a demonstration flight. With the onboard glow only a starter is required.
  • Alf, taxiing the Lancaster out ready for takeoff.
  • Liftoff, the Lancaster takes to air, with the four engines purring away
  • Air raid warning! The Lancaster lining up for a bombing run. The lancaster drops a dam busting bomb just like the full size.
  • Unfortunately, later in the day Alf was having troubles with the Lancaster walking on take off. The model headed towards the safety fence and didn't pull up in time.
